Marking Art Colorblind? - Timilty Middle School 2016

This year the kids (boys & girls this year) chose the topics of race and acceptance. They came up with the idea of a row of statues with various skin tones. I added in the idea of the statues being all male artists from past centuries and painting them one skin tone on the bottom layer that was more permanent and then another layer over the top that was a contrasting skin tone and that would be water soluble over time, as people poured water over them. The idea being that the surface is superficial and the artist underneath is what counts. Nice job guys!
