This year we are officially installing the 2016 ARtLaB project that I did with the eighth grade kids from the Timilty School in Roxbury called Making Art Color Blind…?

Location:  Wormwood Park

Description:

Under the direction of Alys Myers, and sponsored by MGH, students in the Eighth Grade ARtLaB at the Timilty Middle School in Roxbury address the themes of race relations and acceptance. A row of statues depicts three famous white artists from past centuries, painted shades of darker skin tone, reminding us that artists of color do not get equal mention in our history books and that the artist lies underneath the surface of their skin.

APRIL 29 - MAY 8, 2016

From April 29th thru May 8th I will be installing All The Bandages in the lobby of the Family Services of Greater Boston building on Heath Street in Jamaica Plain for ArtWeek Boston. On May 6th, I will again be running the interactive exercise where people can draw their own “bandages.” The event will run at the FSGB from 10-4. Hope to see you there!

MARCH 16, 2016

On the evening of Wednesday, March 16th, I will be running an art event at the Timilty Middle School in Roxbury for the Family STEAM Night. The event will be based on my All The Bandages installation where students and their families will draw what their “bandages” might look like.

MARCH 31, 2016

I will also be participating in Boston Design Week at the Made In Fort Point store.  With the main event being March 31st, 5-7pm. RSVP here.
